Opened in 2004 by the husband and wife team of Martin and Sylvie Ruiz Salvador, Fleur De Sel is located in the heart of historic Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The property, which houses the restaurant, was built in 1840 and retains much of its original character with beautiful archways, intricate mouldings and architectural details such as the signature dormer above the entrance known as a ‘Lunenburg Bump’.
The restaurant features, a casual, but elegant 30-seat dining room, a garden patio, and a bar where guests can enjoy a cocktail prior to sitting down to dinner. The property also features a charming second floor guest suite, which is perfect for a romantic getaway.
Since opening the restaurant 12 years ago, Martin and Sylvie have gone on to open three other establishments in Lunenburg - the Salt Shaker Deli, the South Shore Fish Shack and The HalfShell Oysters & Seafood.
